Dr. Prashanth Gowda

About Dr. Prashanth Gowda is a distinguished pediatrician and neonatologist at SPARSH Hospital, Sarjapur Road, with over 15 years of experience in pediatric and neonatal healthcare. Recognized for his clinical excellence and academic depth, he holds advanced qualifications including a postgraduate degree in Pediatric Nutrition from Boston University, an MSc in Neonatology from the University of Southampton (UK), and an Executive MBA from Harvard University, earning him the recognition as a “Harvard graduate pediatrician.”

With specialized training in acute point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) from Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and advanced neonatal nutrition from Porto, Portugal, Dr. Prashanth brings a global perspective to child healthcare. He has served as the Head of Pediatrics and Neonatology at leading hospitals in Bangalore and is widely respected for his leadership in neonatal care.

Dr. Prashanth has played a vital role in shaping pediatric standards nationally, including serving as President and Secretary of the Karnataka chapter of the National Neonatology Forum (2022–24), an executive board member (2018–2020), and a national instructor for NNF IAP NRP-FGM. He is also a national faculty member for Kangaroo Mother Care and part of the National Accreditation Committee for NICUs.

Beyond clinical practice, he is actively involved in public health as a facilitator for the NHM’s Karnataka Saans Program and is the Founder & Director of Littlebaby India Healthcare Pvt. Ltd and DYU Healthcare. A TEDx speaker and passionate advocate for child health, Dr. Prashanth is dedicated to delivering world-class pediatric and neonatal care.
