Dr Vidya Bhushan R has completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore. With a vision to gain expertise in the field of head and neck cancer, he has completed his fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology from Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Centre, Narayana Health, Bangalore. He worked in Christian Medical College, Vellore, in the Department of ENT, Head and Neck Surgery for 1 year. He joined the Department of Head and Neck Oncology, Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Centre, in 2017. He was awarded a National Travel Fellowship from the prestigious Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology. He was also awarded a prestigious UICC fellowship in the field of Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery from Ospedale di Circolo, Varese, Italy. He has also been trained in Head and Neck Robotic surgery. He has a dedicated practice in the field of Head and Neck Oncosurgery for over 8 years. His competence in performing complex surgeries is widely respected. He has expertise in performing over 1500 advanced head and neck cancer surgeries and reconstructive surgeries. His special area of interest and expertise is Endoscopic skull base surgery. He also has numerous national and international scientific publications. He is invited as faculty to many head and neck oncology and skull base oncology conferences.
