Dr. S. Venkatesh

About Dr. S. Venkatesh is a highly accomplished Interventional Cardiologist with over three decades of experience, currently serving at SPARSH Hospital, Sarjapur Road. A leader in advanced cardiac care, Dr. Venkatesh is proficient in coronary, valvular, peripheral, and congenital heart interventions, and is also deeply committed to preventive cardiology.

After earning his MBBS from Dr. B R Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, Dr. Venkatesh pursued his MD and DM in Cardiology from the esteemed PGIMER, Chandigarh, graduating as batch topper and First Order Medal recipient. His academic and clinical journey has included leadership roles at Kasturba Medical College, Wockhardt Hospitals, and Fortis Hospital Bannerghatta, where he established and expanded high-impact cardiology programs.

Dr. Venkatesh has performed over 15,000 diagnostic catheterizations and 3,500+ interventional procedures. He is known for his expertise in complex coronary interventions including bifurcation stenting, chronic total occlusions, rotablation, and intravascular imaging-guided angioplasties. His pioneering work includes Karnataka’s first combined TAVI with rotablation and first valve-in-valve TAVI, as well as Bangalore’s second valve-in-valve TMVR procedure.
