Dr. Shivakumar S Kupanur

Dr. Shivakumar S Kupanur is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Neuroscience at SPARSH Hospitals.

He completed his medical graduation (MBBS) from Mysore University and obtained a DNB in Neurosurgery from the Manipal Institute for Neurological Disorders after extensive training at a renowned neurological institute. He also pursued specialized training in vascular surgery and complex spine surgery and trained in minimally invasive spine surgery in France. Dr. Shivakumar has served as a consultant at BGS Global Hospital, Sagar Hospital, and Manipal Hospital, and later headed a department at Sapthagiri Super Speciality Hospital.

With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Shivakumar is recognized as one of the Best Neurosurgeons in Bangalore. He has performed more than 4,500 complex neurosurgical and spinal surgeries, with a special interest in spine surgeries and tumour surgeries  Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery.
